Many members of our legal community find this time to be incredibly challenging, stressful, and bordering on unmanageable some days. For those of us parenting, the events of 2020 are creating challenges we never anticipated.

This program features discussion of strategies to help children and teens with the struggles of the pandemic and looks at resources for parents to attend to their own coping skills.

OAAP Attorney Counselor Kyra Hazilla, JD, LCSW, facilitates this multipart series called “Finding Peace During the Pandemic.” Part 2, “Parenting in the Time of Covid,” is co-facilitated with Caty Buckley, MSW, LCSW, a parenting educator, therapist, and school counselor.

Lawyers who view this one-hour presentation will:
  • Learn how children are experiencing the pandemic based on their developmental stage.
  • Learn strategies to take care of ourselves and our children during this time of working and schooling from home.
  • Learn strategies for parenting in times of stress.
  • Learn about resilience and resources and how we can make the best use of both during this challenging time.
