Practice Management Attorney Assistant
The Oregon State Bar Professional Liability Fund (PLF) is seeking a full-time Practice Management Attorney Assistant (PMA Assistant) to join our unique and nationally recognized Practice Management Assistance Program. As the mandatory provider of primary legal malpractice coverage for Oregon lawyers in private practice, the PLF offers you a unique opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the Oregon legal profession.

What We Offer
The starting salary range for this position is $50,346 - $62,874, along with an excellent benefits package, including Oregon PERS/OPSRP retirement, health insurance, and more.
This position is based at the PLF office in Tigard with a hybrid remote work setup and may require some limited travel within the metro area.
What You’ll Do
As a PMA Assistant, you will provide critical support to PMAs through a range of administrative, logistical, and organizational tasks, including:
- Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive clerical and secretarial assistance, including document management, scheduling, and correspondence.
- Event Preparation: Assist with the preparation of materials for presentations, workshops, and other speaking engagements, ensuring all resources are well-organized and ready.
- Project Coordination: Help track and manage progress on key projects by organizing data, following up with stakeholders, and ensuring timely completion.
- Resource Management: Organize and maintain information packages, resources, and materials to support PMAs’ appointments and other activities.
- Content and Communications: Manage social media accounts, coordinate blog schedules, and help promote events and publications.
- Logistical Support: Provide hands-on assistance with various operational needs, including traveling to pick up and transport materials, and ensuring efficiency and accuracy in task execution.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful in This Role
To excel as a PMA Assistant, you should have:
- At least three years of experience in an administrative or support role, preferably in a professional or legal environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and effectively respond to situations requiring immediate attention.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat, with the ability to learn new tools and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive and resourceful with the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems.
- Adaptable and professional in handling unexpected challenges.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to travel as needed within the metro area.
